IAN BAGG & Jonathan Kite
Show Me Comedy

Friday, June 1st at 8pm

Ian Bagg started his comedy career in his native country, Canada. He proceeded to do all the show business things that every successful Canadian entertainer does. He went to a “Hockey Night in Canada” game on a Saturday night, performed at the “Montreal Comedy Festival,” kissed a fish in New Foundland and a “Comedy Now” special on CTV.  So what does a Canadian do when he has done it all?  He boards a train to New York City, lives in a youth hostel and ends up on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late Late show with Craig Ferguson” and “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” It is not always fun and games.  He was forced to do “Make Me Laugh,”  “Showcase Comics with Louie Anderson,” “Fridays” on NBC and the “Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.” In 2015, Ian was a fan favorite and placed in the Top 5 on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”  He recently wrapped a 75 date national tour with the Top 5 Last Comic Standing finalists and is currently headlining his own tour around the country.

Best known as “Oleg,” the hilarious, lovable, sex-crazed Ukrainian cook, opposite Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs on the current CBS comedy hit, “Two Broke Girls,” Jonathan Kite credits Wilt Chamberlin and Ukrainian porn star Vlad, the Impaler as major in uences when creating his character. “Two Broke Girls” returns for it’s sixth season on October 10, 2016. In addition to his role on the series, Kite voices many of the color impaired characters on the Adult Swim throwback, “Black Dynamite: The Animated Series.” When asked to list them, Kite simply said “just call me EVERY WHITE.” Before “2 Broke Girls,” Kite was seen in a number of notable supporting roles including the pilot of FOX’s hit “Raising Hope”.

Jeff Johnson, with JKL Entertainment, says “I’m very excited to be bringing Cape Girardeau a comedy show of this caliber! From beginning to end, audiences are sure to have a blast! This is the kind of show where your face will hurt from laughing!”
